The site url is 'http://www.rafars.org/'.

The PhpDig search url is 'http://cgi.rafars.org/php/S/search.php'

I would like to put a search box onto a standard html page. I do not mind if after clicking 'Go...' it goes directly to a results page. I would be nice if the results page could be done with a standard html page.

I have no idea how to write a standard html page that will call up php.

Has anyone any examples I could copy from!

p.s. The existing search page is a customised template in the /templates directory.

Hi. Just take a look at the HTML source on the main or demo page here for the HTML. Grab everything between the form tags, inclusive, and then edit the action attribute in the form tag to point to your search page.

... HTML source on the main (http://www.phpdig.net/) or demo (http://www.phpdig.net/navigation.php?action=demo) page here (here as in on phpdig.net)...

Also take a look at the HTML source on your page (http://cgi.rafars.org/php/S/search.php).

Sorted thank you.

You do realise that I am 65, white hair and getting on a bit!!
That is my excuse for not understanding things anyway.

ttfn

Sorry , forgot my age. For the young ones - ttfn means 'tata for now', a Tommy Handley saying. (Tata - a Childs word for good-bye.) I suppose that today one would say 'see-ya'.
